Alexandra Garcia is a Professor at the School of Nursing and serves as the Interim Director of the St. David's Foundation Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Research for Underserved Populations. Dr. Garcia is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and has served as the past President of the Texas Public Health Association and past Chair of the Public Health Nursing Section of the American Public Health Association.
