Biography

Alexandra Jabbour is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Warwick, having joined the Political Science and International Studies (PAIS) department in July 2025. She is also a part-time Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute. Alexandra holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Montreal, Canada, obtained in 2023. Her research operates at the intersection of political economy, political behaviour, and comparative politics, with a focus on important questions regarding public opinion, group identity, and the political consequences of the housing market. Methodologically, she has a strong interest in causal inference and survey experimental methods. Alexandra is keen to supervise undergraduate and graduate students, as well as PhD candidates on topics related to political behaviour, including parties, elections, and voting. She is open to supervising dissertations that utilize methodological approaches, particularly in quantitative methods such as descriptive work, causal inference, experiments, and quasi-experiments. Her research primarily focuses on Europe and North America, while also being receptive to proposals of regional interest.
