Biography

Alexandra Mogyoros is an Assistant Professor at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law, focusing her research on the intersection of brands, trust, intellectual property, and expression. She teaches property law, intellectual property law, and introduction to law and legal methods. Mogyoros provides consulting services to governments and non-profit organizations regarding intellectual property policies, law and technology, constitutional law, advertising law, and freedom of information. Prior to her position at Toronto Metropolitan University, Mogyoros worked in research roles at several universities, including Toronto and Oxford, and served as a law clerk at the Supreme Court of Canada. In addition to her academic work, she is an Associate Member of the Centre for Law, Technology and Society at the University of Ottawa and has published several articles on trademark law and certification marks.
