Alex joined the University of Southampton in 2022, following a decade of experience at the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Arts Council England, and the Arts and Humanities Research Council, where she was involved in various funded partnership projects with universities and cultural organisations. She has lectured at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels on museum studies, art history, cultural theory, and digital humanities, contributing her extensive knowledge in collaborative cultural knowledge production to the academic community. Alex holds a BA in History of Art, Design and Architecture from Leeds University, a PG Dip in Curating, and an MA in Cultural Studies from Goldsmiths College, along with a PhD in Digital Humanities from Kingston University, where her work explored equitable methods of co-creation in digital cultural contexts.
