Biography

Alexandre Madelaine joined the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) at Erasmus University Rotterdam as an Assistant Professor in Accounting Control in 2023. He obtained his PhD in Accounting from HEC Paris and holds an MSc in Economics from the Institut Polytechnique de Paris. During his PhD studies, he visited the University of Texas at Austin and is a former student of ENS Paris Saclay. His research employs quantitative and qualitative methodologies to explore the implications of short selling and information disclosures for investors. He is a member of the SSH-Breed Sectorplan, contributing to the advancement of research in this area.
