Dr. Alexandros Beskos

Biography

Alexandros Beskos is a Professor of Statistics at the University College London (UCL), where he has significantly contributed to the field since 2008. His primary research interests encompass Bayesian Statistics, Computational Statistics, Filtering, Econometrics, Biostatistics, Graphical Models, Financial Statistics, Inverse Problems, Epigenetics, and Population Models. Beskos has produced numerous publications in high-impact journals, advancing methodologies in statistical inference and modeling. He has held various positions throughout his career, including roles as a Reader and Senior Lecturer at UCL, as well as visiting appointments at Yale-NUS College and the University of Cambridge. His contributions extend to overseeing PhD students and post-doctoral researchers, mentoring the next generation of statisticians.
