Professor Dr. Alexey Sidelev

Biography

Alexey Sidelev is an Adjunct Professor at New York University Tandon School of Engineering. He has a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York University obtained in 2011, and an MSc+BSc in Industrial Civil Construction from Kiev State University of Construction and Architecture, earned in 1997. Sidelev's research interests focus on non-destructive testing evaluation, infrastructure sustainability, sustainable structural design, and corrosion monitoring. He is experienced in structural health monitoring and has expertise in optical sensing methods. In his professional career, he has worked as a Senior Structural Engineer at PARSONS PTG since July 2012, and previously held positions as a Research Development Engineer at Chromosense, LLC, and an Engineer/designer at Refcon, LLC. His work has contributed to conferences and journals in the field, including studies on monitoring materials and techniques for assessing structural integrity. Sidelev has collaborated with several researchers in his field and continues to contribute to advancements in civil engineering through his teaching and research initiatives.
