Dr. Alexia Ventouri

Biography

Alexia Ventouri is an Associate Professor in Banking and Finance at King’s Business School, King’s College London. With a focus on empirical finance, her research spans areas including risk management, performance assessment, structured finance, corporate governance, and regulatory frameworks in banking and insurance. Since joining King’s in October 2015, she has contributed significantly to the finance field, evidenced by her publications in reputable journals such as the Review of Finance and the British Journal of Management. She holds an MSc and a PhD in Finance from the University of Essex and a BSc in Economic Science from the University of Piraeus. Prior to her tenure at King’s, she worked at Brunel University, Sussex University, the IFS School of Finance, and Hellenic American University, gaining extensive industry experience in banking, particularly focusing on risk and stress testing. Currently, she is accepting new PhD students and is involved in various collaborative research projects that address critical issues in the banking sector.
