Dr. Alexis Gimovsky

Biography

Alexis Gimovsky, MD, is an Associate Professor specializing in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned degrees in Bioengineering and Biology, before receiving her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Dr. Gimovsky continued her training with a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at George Washington University and completed her fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where she was awarded the Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship Research Award. Her clinical interests encompass preconception counseling, prenatal diagnosis, management of high-risk pregnancies, preterm birth prevention, and ultrasound. Dr. Gimovsky is actively involved in global health projects aimed at enhancing ultrasound education in Ethiopia and Guyana. Her research interests focus on employing machine learning tools to reduce maternal morbidity and developing simulation techniques for medical education. She has presented her research at numerous national conferences, including the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, and The American Congress for Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
