Dr. Alexis Halpern

Biography

Alexis Halpern is an Assistant Professor in Clinical Emergency Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and an attending physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. She completed her medical education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School, and is a graduate of Cornell University. Dr. Halpern completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at New York University/Bellevue Hospital Center and pursued a fellowship in Geriatric Emergency Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian. With four years of experience as an attending physician, she has a keen interest in geriatric trauma and palliative care, and is actively involved in international teaching projects across India, Canada, and Guatemala. She has contributed to the literature in her field, including co-authoring a publication on the management of delirium in older adults in the emergency department. Dr. Halpern currently serves as the Assistant Director of the Geriatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship at Weill Cornell and is dedicated to advancing care for older patients in emergency settings.
