Biography

Alexis Jeannotte is an Assistant Professor of General Surgery at the University of Saskatchewan. He was born and raised in Regina, where he completed his medical school and general surgery residency at the University of Saskatchewan before spending time on the Regina campus. Following his residency, he completed a trauma surgery fellowship at the University of Ottawa and worked for two years as a general trauma surgeon in Edmonton. Currently, he is completing a Master's degree in Health Sciences Education at the University of Alberta. Dr. Jeannotte has a diverse surgical practice that includes trauma surgery, breast care, and endoscopy. His academic interests focus on rural trauma education, curriculum development, and empowering female surgical leadership. He is excited to return to Regina, the city of his upbringing and training, to establish a permanent practice as a general trauma surgeon.
