Biography

In 2021, Alexis Luko was appointed Full Professor and Director of the UVic School of Music. She has an international reputation as a musicologist specializing in film music and Renaissance music. Her research has been published extensively, including a monograph titled 'Sonatas, Screams, Silence: Music Sound Films Ingmar Bergman' and involvement in editing a book titled 'Monstrosity, Identity, Music: Mediating Uncanny Creatures from Frankenstein to Post-Humanism'.
