Biography

Alfonso Cuevas is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, Dr. Cuevas served as the Director of Engineering at Symtx/Symmetrix, specializing in test and measurement solutions for emerging electronic products from 1994 to 1998. His earlier work includes a position as a microwave/RF engineer at Tracor Aerospace (now BAE Systems) from 1983 to 1994. Dr. Cuevas has numerous patents and has worked on various electronic products across multiple disciplines. His research interests focus on aspects of electronic design, particularly sensor technology and IoT (Internet of Things) technology, leveraging his expertise in RF circuit design to create low-current solutions for battery-powered applications.
