Dr. Ali Ayub

Biography

Ali Ayub is an Assistant Professor at the Concordia Institute of Information Systems Engineering, specializing in various aspects of artificial intelligence and robotics. He earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 2021. His primary research areas include machine learning, interactive machine learning, continual learning, and human-robot interaction. In his academic endeavors, he explores the intersection of artificial intelligence and robotics, focusing on the development of systems that can operate in dynamic environments and interact seamlessly with human users. His work also addresses long-term personalization, ensuring that robotic systems adapt to user needs over time. Ali is particularly interested in assistive robotics, autonomous vehicles, and smart sensor systems, emphasizing the application of machine learning techniques in these fields. He actively seeks MASc and PhD students to join his research group, which aims to advance understanding and innovation in the domains of robotics and machine learning.
