Dr. Ali Dehghantanha

Biography

Ali Dehghantanha is a Professor and Canada Research Chair in Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence at the University of Guelph. He is the Director of the Cyber Science Lab, where he leads innovative research focusing on Cybersecurity, Cyber Threat Intelligence, and Digital Forensics. Dr. Dehghantanha has been recognized as a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair, highlighting his contributions to the field. He is also an EU Marie-Curie Fellow Alumni, reflecting his extensive experience and expertise in Digital Forensics. His research emphasizes the application of Machine Learning in identifying and analyzing attacks in Internet of Things (IoT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS). He is actively involved in mentoring students and constantly seeks candidates for PhD positions in his lab. In his role at the university, he teaches graduate-level courses such as Cyber Threat Intelligence and Adversarial Risk Analysis, as well as Security Monitoring and Cyber Threat Hunting.
