Dr. Ali Jalili

Biography

Ali Jalili is a Senior Lecturer and Australian Research Council (ARC) Future Fellow at the School of Chemistry, University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia. He earned his PhD from the University of Wollongong in 2013. His research expertise spans plasma gas conversion, additive manufacturing, biomimetic systems, electrochemical device fabrication, and plasma catalysis, with a strong focus on net-zero initiatives including green ammonia production and sustainable fertilizers. Dr. Jalili has been instrumental in advancing research in green ammonia plasma electrocatalysis and has made significant contributions backed by prestigious grants such as the ARC DECRA and Future Fellowship. He has published over 65 peer-reviewed manuscripts with an H-index of 45, and his research has accumulated more than 7,500 citations globally. Recent interests include AI-driven modeling and techno-economic analysis to enhance process optimization and accelerate lab-scale innovations for meaningful industrial applications.
