Dr. Ali Khan

Biography

Ali Khan is an adjunct lecturer at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where he focuses on healthcare management. He also serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Value Based Care Strategy at Oak Street Health, a company that delivers transformative primary care to vulnerable Medicare-Medicaid enrollees across 202 centers in 25 states. In his role at Oak Street Health, he leads managed care strategy, medical management, clinical design, and workforce development in public policy. Prior to his current position, Khan served as the Executive Medical Director for CareMore Health's Clinical Design Officer and worked with Iora Health. He is also affiliated with the Yale School of Medicine and has held leadership positions on various boards, including as Director of the American Board of Internal Medicine’s Internal Medicine Specialty Board. Khan's leadership was recognized by Modern Healthcare’s Top 25 Emerging Leaders in 2021 and Crain's Chicago Business' 40 Under 40 in 2022. He completed his residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital and holds joint M.D. and M.P.P. degrees from the Harvard Kennedy School. Khan is committed to advancing value-based healthcare, ensuring that systems are in place to promote quality care for patients.
