Dr. Ali Sarhadi

Biography

Ali Sarhadi is an Assistant Professor at the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Georgia Institute of Technology. He earned his Ph.D. in Civil Environmental Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 2017. His research focuses on Hurricane Dynamics, Risk Assessment, Climate Risk Resiliency, and Compound Cascading Dynamics. He also investigates Tropical Hydrometeorology and employs Machine Learning techniques, including Manifold Learning, in his work. His diverse interests in climate, oceanography, and weather have positioned him as a valuable contributor to the academic community, particularly in understanding complex weather systems and their impacts on societies.
