Biography

Ali Trabolsi is a Professor of Chemistry at New York University Abu Dhabi. He has an extensive background in the study of supramolecular systems based on porphyrins, fullerenes, and oligo-phenylene vinylene (OPV). Trabolsi earned his Bachelor of Science from Lebanese University and both his Master’s and PhD from the University of Strasbourg. Before his current position, he was a research scholar in Sir Fraser Stoddart’s group at UCLA and Northwestern University, focusing on the synthesis and characterization of mechanically interlocked molecules. In 2009, he joined the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia as a research scientist in the membrane center. His research interests lie at the intersection of materials, health, and environmental sciences, where he aims to develop innovative solutions using advanced material chemistry.
