Biography

Ali Yalcindag is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Brown University, specializing in pediatric rheumatology. He completed his medical degree at the Cerrahpasa Faculty of Medicine of Istanbul University and underwent residency training in Pediatrics at NYU Medical Center. Following this, he completed a fellowship in immunology at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Yalcindag has been a member of the Brown faculty since 2003 and currently serves as the Director of the Division of Pediatric Rheumatology at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. His research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of the immune system in response to atopic dermatitis, utilizing mouse models that mimic human disease. He is the principal investigator for the Collaborative Childhood Arthritis Registry (CARRA Registry), a multicenter observational study that follows children and adolescents with major rheumatic diseases. Dr. Yalcindag has contributed to the field through various scholarly works, including book chapters on rheumatic disorders in pediatric patients.
