Biography

Alice Collier is a Reader in Chemistry Education in the Department of Chemistry at King's College London. She graduated with an MChem in Analytical Chemistry from the University of East Anglia (UEA) in 2004 and completed her PhD in Medicinal Chemistry under the supervision of Dr. Gerd Wagner at UEA. Alice has extensive teaching experience, having instructed and demonstrated for undergraduate students in chemistry and pharmacy courses. After completing her PhD, she accepted a position as a Senior Demonstrator in the Pharmacy department at UEA. In 2011, she joined King's College London as a Teaching Fellow in Chemistry, where she played a key role in the development of an integrated laboratory module taught to undergraduates. As a Reader, she is particularly interested in using videos and interactive online resources to enhance the learning experience of students. Her research focuses on medicinal chemistry and chemical biology, with particular interest in the chemical synthesis of biological molecules that serve as molecular probes.
