Biography

Alice Pell is an International Professor Emerita of Animal Nutrition at Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. She joined the college in 1990 and contributed significantly to the fields of Animal Science, Nutrition, Microbiology, and Global Development. Pell holds degrees from Harvard University in architectural science and international education and has M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Vermont focusing on animal nutrition. She has taught in Africa and contributed to improving Ph.D. education across the continent, serving as an Extraordinary Professor at institutions in South Africa. Pell has an extensive publication record relevant to her research and has played vital roles in various development projects.
