Biography

Alice Troy-Donovan is a researcher for the Medicalising Immigration Detention project at the Centre for Criminology. Her work explores the role and impact of health provision on individuals in immigration detention centres in Greece. Prior to this project, Alice coordinated research efforts for a grassroots NGO in Greece, where she documented the living conditions of asylum seekers and undocumented individuals in various immigration detention facilities. Her experience includes positions at the Danish Institute for International Studies and the University of Copenhagen. Alice is also a member of the Detention Landscapes collective, a transnational initiative focused on mapping violations within spaces of detention.
