Biography

Alicia Jiménez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Classical Studies at Duke University. Her research interests encompass a variety of topics including postcolonial theory and ancient Roman imperialism, with a particular focus on the material traces of violence in the western provinces of the Roman Empire, especially in the Iberian Peninsula. She is the author of 'Imagines hibridae' and has developed significant insights into the Baetican necropolis.
