Biography

Alicia Scribner, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician gynecologist and an Academic Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Washington. A veteran of the United States Army, she served as a physician for 15 years and continues her commitment as a member of the United States Army Reserves. Dr. Scribner's primary focus is on finding solutions to improve patients' quality of life and believes that positive outcomes are achieved when patients and physicians work collaboratively as a team, guided by up-to-date evidence and best practices. She is passionate about women's health and seeks to advocate for historically marginalized groups. Her clinical interests encompass contraception, menopause, sexual health, and general wellness. Dr. Scribner earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from American University, a Master’s in Public Health from UC Berkeley, and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of the Health Sciences. She completed her OB/GYN internship and residency at Madigan Army Medical Center. Dr. Scribner has been recognized with multiple teaching awards, including the CREOG National Teaching Award in 2023 and 2018, and has been honored for her excellence in teaching at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
