Aline Steinbrecher Frei is a lecturer in Modern History at the University of Zurich. After studying General History and Education, she earned her doctorate at the University of Zurich with a dissertation on the treatment of madness in the Early Modern period. Her habilitation in 2017 focused on the human-dog relationship in the long 18th century. She has served for many years as an assistant and senior assistant at the Historical Seminar.
