Biography

Alisa K. Lincoln is an Adjunct Professor at Boston University School of Public Health in the Department of Community Health Sciences. She holds a PhD from Columbia University, an MPH from Boston University School of Public Health, and a BA from Tufts University. With over a decade of engaged research in public mental health, she has secured more than four million dollars in federal research funding. Her research primarily focuses on the ways social factors and system-level factors interrelate to perpetuate mental health disparities. Prior to her current role, she served as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry and as a Professor in Health Sciences and Sociology at Northeastern University. Her extensive experience includes working at the Northeastern Institute of Urban Health Research and she has been a principal investigator on multiple NIH grants pertaining to mental health initiatives. Alisa is deeply committed to addressing mental health issues and has contributed significantly to the understanding of health disparities among marginalized populations.
