Dr. Alisha Ware

Biography

Alisha Denise Ware is an Assistant Professor of Pathology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Howard University and earned her Medical Degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Dr. Ware completed her residency in anatomic pathology at Johns Hopkins University, followed by a fellowship in hematopathology. She plays a pivotal role in her department, establishing and leading wellness initiatives as the Deputy Director of Community Well-being Engagement. Dr. Ware actively promotes well-being initiatives department-wide and serves as an advisor for the Pathology Resident Wellness Committee. Her published work focuses on diversity and wellness within the pathology field, aiming to serve as a model for other institutions. As a dedicated educator, she is a member of the Department of Pathology’s Educational Advisory Committee and is the Director of the Hematopathology Fellowship Program. Her research interests include hematopathology and wellness in medical education.
