Alison Gascoigne studied Archaeology with a special focus on Egypt at the University of Cambridge, graduating in 1995. She has years of experience working in both commercial and research archaeology in the UK and Egypt. In 2007, she began her lectureship at the University of Southampton's Department of Archaeology and co-directed the interdisciplinary survey project at Tell Tinnis, culminating in the publication of 'Island City Tinnis: Postmortem' in 2020. Alison was promoted to Associate Professor in 2016 and has held multiple responsibilities within the archaeology program, including as Ethics representative and Exams Officer, while championing early career researchers in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.
