Biography

Alison Manning is an assistant professor and clinician educator in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Brown University. She serves as an attending child psychiatrist in the pediatric psychiatry consultation-liaison service at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, where she specializes in treating youth with medical complexities. Dr. Manning's research interests focus on evaluating the effects of peer mentorship on health outcomes for youth with chronic physical conditions. She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Cornell University and earned her MD from Drexel University College of Medicine. Dr. Manning has completed a Triple Board residency, receiving combined training in pediatrics, adult psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital. She also has teaching roles, including serving as the course director for the Triple Board elective rotation and providing clinical supervision to trainees.
