Biography

Dr. Alison Tam graduated from the Florida State University College of Medicine, where she completed her MD. She also holds a Master of Public Health from Boston University School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Miami. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor at Boston University's Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Tam completed her residency in Psychiatry and a fellowship in Community Psychiatry. She is actively involved in providing clinical ambulatory care at Upham's Corner Health Center and South Cove Community Health Center. Additionally, she supervises residents and serves as the director of the quality improvement curriculum for the residency program. Her teaching includes a Community Psychiatry course for PGY-1 residents. Her research interests focus on community psychiatry, public sector psychiatry, healthcare systems, health policy, quality improvement, and resident education. Dr. Tam has received notable awards, including the Citizenship Award from Boston University School of Medicine in 2014, and she graduated Cum Laude from the University of Miami in 2006.
