Biography

Alison Wendlandt is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her research focuses on the development of selective, catalytic reactions through the use of organic and organometallic synthesis, combined with principles of physical organic chemistry. A central aspect of her work involves mechanistic studies, which play a pivotal role in the development of new transformations. The Wendlandt Group is engaged in various projects, which include the design of new catalysts for catalytic transformations and the identification of significant applications for selective catalytic processes. Additionally, they elucidate new mechanistic principles to enhance existing catalytic reaction manifolds.
