Dr. Alison Wong

Biography

Alison Wong is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Plastic Surgery at Dalhousie University. She has completed her BSc in Neuroscience, and her MD at Dalhousie University, followed by a residency in Plastic Surgery at the same institution. Additionally, she earned a Master's in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and completed a research fellowship focused on Peripheral Nerve Regeneration. Wong has specialized training in Hand, Wrist, and Microsurgery from the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Her research interests include upper extremity amputation salvage, lower extremity salvage, and peripheral nerve surgery, with works published in notable journals such as Muscle & Nerve and Plastic Reconstructive Surgery. Wong actively contributes to advancing clinical practices and outcomes related to complex limb injuries and surgical techniques.
