Biography

Alissa Greer is an associate professor in the School of Criminology at Simon Fraser University. Her research focuses on drug policy reform, policing, and qualitative research methods, taking a critical approach to her work. Greer is currently evaluating the implementation of drug decriminalization in British Columbia through interviews with groups of people who use drugs and police officers. She serves as an associate editor for the International Journal of Drug Policy and is a board member of the International Society for the Study of Drug Policy. Greer organizes and hosts a qualitative journal club for practicing qualitative researchers at her School of Criminology.
