Dr. Aliva De

Biography

Aliva De is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics specializing in Pediatric Pulmonology at Columbia University. Her expertise is rooted in extensive training and fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where she developed a strong foundation in diagnosing and treating a wide range of respiratory diseases in children. Dr. De treats lung conditions, including asthma and chronic lung disorders, and is actively involved in research surrounding the long-term pulmonary complications of pediatrics, such as in patients with sickle cell disease and those undergoing cancer therapy. She participates in national committees focused on rare lung disorders and has been engaged in clinical trials for new therapies targeting interstitial lung diseases in children. Passionate about education, she also leads the pulmonology fellowship training program at Columbia, mentoring the next generation of pediatric pulmonologists.
