Biography

Allan Larsen is a Professor in Operations Supply Chain Management and serves as the Deputy Head of Division and Head of Section at the Technical University of Denmark, where he leads the Operations Supply Chain Management Section in the Department of Technology, Management, and Economics. He holds an MSc in Engineering with a focus on Applied Mathematics and a PhD in Operations Research, both from the Technical University of Denmark. His specific research interests involve freight transport logistics, urban freight transport, healthcare supply chains, and optimization in public transport. Allan teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Operations Management and Simulation Operations Management, respectively, to BSc and MSc students. He has extensive experience collaborating with both Danish and international industries, particularly in the freight transport logistics sector, and has previously co-directed the Transport DTU research center.
