Dr. Allan Lind

Biography

E. Allan Lind is the James L. Vincent Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Leadership at Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. His teaching interests focus on leadership and global management issues, where he teaches MBA courses related to leadership, management, culture, and ethics. His research delves into leadership, organizational behavior, trust, organizational fairness, conflict management, and the influence of culture on effective management practices. Specifically, he studies how leaders can enhance perceptions of fair treatment, build trust, and address conflicts within organizations. Before joining Duke, he conducted policy research in various areas, including law and counter-terrorism, at RAND Corporation and taught at institutions like the University of Illinois and the University of Washington. With over 100 publications in major journals, he is recognized for his contributions to the fields of social psychology and organizational behavior, and has received numerous grants for his research. He has taught executive courses for several notable companies and is currently an advisor on policy reform for the OECD.
