Allan Madden is a Lecturer in History of Art, teaching on a range of topics related to modern and contemporary art. He has supported the University of Glasgow's partnership with the Smithsonian Institution and completed a PhD in History of Art at the University of Edinburgh and the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art. In addition to his academic work, Allan has experience in curating and managing exhibitions at the Lighthouse, Scotland's Centre for Design and Architecture, and the Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art, and continues to coordinate art projects on a freelance basis. He is a member of the Dada Surrealism Research Group and the SEXES Research Group at Edinburgh College of Art.
