Biography

Allaudeen Hameed is the Tang Peng Yeu Professor of Finance at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School. With extensive experience in academia, he has held visiting positions at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and the University of Texas at Austin. His research interests revolve around return-based trading strategies, stock return co-movement, liquidity, the role of financial analysts, and international financial markets. Hameed has published significantly in prestigious finance journals such as the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, and Management Science. He actively serves on the editorial boards of academic journals including the Journal of Financial Quantitative Analysis and the International Review of Finance. Throughout his career, he has received numerous accolades, including the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Alumni Merit Award in 2011, the Outstanding Researcher Award at NUS Business School from 2003 to 2015, and various paper awards from several finance conferences. He completed his Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) at NUS and earned his PhD in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
