Dr. Allison Bartlett

Biography

Allison H. Bartlett, MD, is a pediatric infectious diseases specialist at the University of Chicago Medicine, where she focuses on providing patient-family-centered, evidence-based care to children with a variety of acute and chronic infections. She became the Associate Medical Director of the Infection Prevention and Control program in 2011 and has been a crucial player in medical center-wide initiatives. Recently appointed the inaugural Chief Quality Officer of Comer Children’s Hospital, Dr. Bartlett has led numerous efforts aimed at improving care quality, safety, and efficiency. Her clinical and teaching responsibilities include leading education in pediatric infectious diseases and contributing to the academic community through her involvement in professional organizations like the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America and the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society. Dr. Bartlett completed her undergraduate studies at Princeton University (AB in Molecular Biology) and earned her MD from Washington University School of Medicine. She then trained in pediatrics and pediatric infectious diseases at Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine. Since joining the University of Chicago Medicine in 2011, she has published extensively in her field, contributing to significant research related to infection control and prevention.
