Professor Dr. Allison Sekuler

Biography

Allison B. Sekuler is a prominent researcher in cognitive neuroscience and has made significant contributions to the understanding of visual perception. Her research interests include perceptual organization, face and object recognition, pattern vision, motion perception, perceptual learning, plasticity, and the impact of aging on vision. Sekuler has been a Canada Research Chair in Cognitive Neuroscience from 2001 to 2011 and has served as the Associate Vice-President and Dean of Graduate Studies at McMaster University. She has previously held a professorship at York University, where she contributed notable research in the field. Her work often encompasses neuroimaging and studies related to autism, showcasing her diverse expertise in cognitive science and psychology.
