Biography

Allister Hirschman is a Physician Assistant (PA) and a member of the Yale New Haven Hospital Surgical Float team, focusing on providing care in surgical subspecialties. He has been employed full-time at Yale New Haven Hospital since 2008, beginning his career in the Adult Emergency Department. Over the years, he has been recognized multiple times for his contributions, including being named Employee of the Month on two occasions for his role in Covid-19 response, and earning awards for excellence in patient care under the APPlause program. His clinical interests encompass addressing healthcare disparities, gender-affirming surgeries, and improving patient experience and provider wellness.
