Biography

Prof. Wagner joined the faculty in January 2024 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (EECS) and in the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology (MCB). He is a member of the Center for Computational Biology (CCB). His research group develops data-driven algorithms to analyze single-cell molecular atlases, focusing on single-cell transcriptomics, and applies these methodologies to study metabolic dysregulation in immune disorders. The group collaborates with experimental biologists to study a range of diverse immune disorders, including cancer, autoimmunity, and infectious diseases.
