Biography

Aloka Wanigasuriya is a PhD scholar at the Centre for European, Comparative and Constitutional Legal Studies, Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen. His research project focuses on the national impact of International Criminal Court (ICC) interventions. As an Australian lawyer, he holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in international human rights law from Lund University in Sweden, along with a conjoint Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Deakin University in Australia. Aloka has previously worked with the Special Court for Sierra Leone, the Danish Institute for Human Rights, and the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law. His principal research interests are in the fields of international criminal law, public international law, and human rights law.
