Alvin Yap is a lecturer at the University of Western Australia Law School with over 10 years of experience serving as an independent consultant in international law. He has represented and advised states in various legal proceedings before international courts and tribunals, including the International Court of Justice and the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea.
