Biography

Dr. Alyssa Smith received her undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Connecticut and her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, where she became a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed her residency training in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Smith is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology, Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology at Stanford University. She is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology, Society for Ear, Nose, and Throat Advancements in Children, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. Dr. Smith serves on the Pediatric Otolaryngology Education Committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. Her clinical interests include aerodigestive disorders, airway reconstruction, obstructive sleep apnea, tracheostomy care, congenital neck masses, benign and malignant head and neck tumors, and sinonasal disorders.
