Biography

Alyssa S. Tilhou, MD, PhD is an Assistant Professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine in the Department of Family Medicine. She is a family physician and addiction specialist with a focus on health services research aimed at improving access and utilization of primary care and substance use services for low-income populations. Dr. Tilhou has received several awards, including the Resident Award for Advocacy from the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors and various Humanism Awards during her training. She is dedicated to elevating marginalized voices in medicine and strives to create a more equitable healthcare environment.
