After completing a postdoctoral training in psychiatry, I undertook advanced training in Melbourne, Australia, to develop expertise in early intervention for young people with emerging psychotic disorders. Since 2002, I have contributed to the development of the clinic for young adults with psychosis at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM). The clinic serves as a model for establishing similar programs throughout Quebec. I have structured a clinical research program integrated within the clinic since 2006, focusing on factors impacting the evolution and rehabilitation of young adults with psychotic disorders. I established the “Emerging Psychosis Follow-Up Study” at the University of Montreal, the first international project comparing two early intervention programs for psychosis. I am actively involved in mental health policy and education, serving as president of the Quebec Association for Early Episode Programs and contributing to various expert committees.
