Biography

Amanda Paz Alencar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Media and Communication at Erasmus University Rotterdam. She specializes in media migration and intercultural communication with a research focus on how communication technologies shape mobility and sociocultural integration processes among refugees in diverse contexts. Amanda has been a visiting fellow at the Refugee Studies Centre at the University of Oxford, where she developed a research project on digital integration and livelihoods for forced migrants.
