Biography

Amanda Cross is a senior research fellow at the Centre for Medicine Use and Safety, Monash University. She completed her PhD at Monash University in 2019, focusing on optimizing medication use and management for older individuals with cognitive impairment. Her research interests primarily revolve around medication safety and the quality use of medicines among older adults, specifically to mitigate the risk of developing dementia. In 2019, she received the Pharmaceutical Society Australia’s Victorian Early Career Pharmacist of the Year award and in 2024, she was elevated to the status of Fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia.
